We are seriously committed to growing healthy churches, and we know of no more productive way to support that value that than by partnering with new congregations. If yours is a church that has been holding public services for two years or less, we have a special offer for you.

We think differently than most in our field, perhaps because we have been so deeply involved in the planting of so many new congregations. We know that fulfilling the founding vision of every new church requires strong financial support, but most young churches are reaching new Christians who have not yet learned the joy of generosity in support of their ministry. The result is that, just when the needs are most pressing, the financial support coming from the congregation may be the weakest it will ever be.

Therefore we recommend that new churches have a capital fund campaign during the first two years of their lives. This will provide a surge of income just when it is most needed while, at the same time, helping your people to think in larger terms concerning their own generosity.

A common concern is that people who are so new to Christianity will object to being asked for money, believing that such asking will encourage their bias that "churches only want money." We have rarely found that reaction in our campaigns, because our approach is so strongly grounded in the believer's own spiritual journey. Churches with whom we work experience the opposite reaction: people are amazed at what God does in their lives when their prayers are appropriately channeled.
